Book now to reserve your spot on Dr. Mandy Hansen’s bottle school trip: January 10th – January 16th, 2019
As an International Educator, I have led student trips to India volunteering at a Tibetan refugee camp as well as an environmental education volunteer trip to Northern California with international students. These experiences provide team building, memories that last a lifetime, and opportunities to learn about yourself as well as the communities you serve.
Participating in this trip with Hug It Forward and Serve the World Today will be the first for many of you. The trip will involve participation from University of Colorado Colorado Springs students as well as community members from throughout Colorado. This trip will require grit, empathy, compassion, and an interest in learning more about the community we are entering. We will be helping to build a school, learn about Guatemalan culture, practice some Spanish, interact with the community, and use our bodies and spirits to help a school take shape.
Hug it Forward has helped empower the communities of Guatemala to build over 100 schools since 2009. Join me as a participant and be part of this legacy! I know it will open your heart, your mind, and fuel your desire to continue to give back to international and domestic communities for many years to come.
Warm Regards,
Dr. Mandy Hansen

Fundraising for bottle schools
You might also like to fundraise for Hug It Forward bottle schools. Fundraising for bottle schools is optional – it is not a requirement of participating in a bottle school trip.
If you choose to fundraise, we suggest a $250 fundraising goal, but some people choose to do more or less than this. It’s really up to you – how much you think your friends and families can give, how creative you can be, and how much time you’re prepared to put into it.
