Book now to reserve your spot on Kim Franklin’s bottle school trip: June 22-28, 2017

I have always wanted to do a volunteer trip or mission trip to a foreign country so I may volunteer my time in helping communities achieve success! In February 2016 I had the opportunity to do so and the experience was beyond my expectations. I would classify this volunteer trip as the most fulfilling and most memorable trips I have experienced in my life.

For one week I was able to help build “bottle schools” in Guatemala through the “Hug It Forward” organization. I will admit that I was afraid of leaving the country and fearful of what I might see. But after hearing about my friends’ experiences and with prayer I realized that this is something I must try. Given this opportunity in February has opened my eyes, my heart and my mind to understand the struggles that others have in other countries. It made me realize how fortunate I am and how I need to appreciate every moment in my life.

Besides building a “bottle school”, volunteers get to experience the everyday life of the people in Guatemala and fully experience the culture. The communities are filled with loving, caring and a fun group of people who want to improve the community and the education of their children.
I ask you to consider opening your heart to participate with me June 22-28 2017. Feel free to call me at 515.681.9645 or email me at kalfit01@yahoo.com.

Thank you,

Kim Franklin

Fundraising for bottle schools

You might also like to fundraise for Hug It Forward bottle schools. Fundraising for bottle schools is optional – it is not a requirement of participating in a bottle school trip.

If you choose to fundraise, we suggest a $250 fundraising goal, but some people choose to do more or less than this. It’s really up to you – how much you think your friends and families can give, how creative you can be, and how much time you’re prepared to put into it.
