Bottle School Trip to Guatemala May 2-8, 2013 – Led by Linda Harness, Kim Alleman, and Steve and Anne Burgason

Linda:

Hi all, I had the privilege of partnering with Hug It Forward in October, 2012 to start Bottle School #23. The trip was amazing! The people are warm and the countryside is breathtaking. We worked on the Bottle School project, but also involved in many other activities. We learned about the culture and spent a peaceful day at the Mayan Ruins. I will be co-leading a group from May 2-8, 2013. I want others to experience a trip of a lifetime – come join us!
Kim:
When I first heard of Hug It Forward and Bottle Schools a couple of years ago, I immediately knew that participating in this cause was a “must” for me. When this came true in October, the experience was more that I had imagined. Not only is one involved in the manual labor of building a school but the bonus is the friendships and relationships built with the others on the trip and, more importantly, the people of Guatemala. Opening up and immersing myself in the culture of these wonderful people has given me a new perspective on what is really important to have a happy, enriched life. Please join us, its an experience you don’t want to miss and will never forget.
Steve and Anne:
The bottle school trip to Guatemala was one of the best weeks we have ever had. If you’re looking for a way to give back and experience the wonder of building a school that will help hundreds of young children get educated and participate in the rich culture of the Mayan’s full of wonder and adventure then this is the trip for you. Come join us if you’re single…come join us as a couple and if you want to experience this adventure with your children…bring them with you. You will never forget your experience in this beautiful country and you will never be the same.
